DRFC A look back at Colchester v Doncaster
A look back at the history of games between Colchester United and Doncaster Rovers.
Saturday will be Rovers first ever visit to the Weston Homes Community Stadium having moved to their new home from Layer Road in 2008.
Rovers previous 20 visits to Colchester were all at Layer Road with Colchester winning 13, Rovers 4 and 3 have been draw.
The first ever meeting came in the 1958/59 season when Colchester won 1-0 in a Third Division clash.
Rovers had to wait until their fifth visit in the 1971/72 season when they returned to Yorkshire with both points in a 2-1 win.
Their last victory was in the 1994/95 season when they won 3-0, their best win at Layer Road.
Rovers have failed to win on any of their last six visits, losing five. Their last visit there was in the 2005/06 season when they lost 3-2
