Keegan On The Board?

A news item in today's Sunday Express reveals that Kevin Keegan will contact Rovers in the morning to let them know if he wants to be considered for the vacant managers job.

The article goes on to suggest that in order to tempt Keegan to the role Ryan will offer him 'a slice of the club, a place on the board and total control of the team'.

The latter section raises an eyebrow or two as rumours around Doncaster hint that Dave Penney did not have full control when it came to signing players and team selection. It is believed that Ryan's insistence to play Thornton over Ravenhill towards the end of the season contributed to Penney deciding to leave last week.

I thought the club were trying to play down the Keegan link last week. This is putting more pressure on Mickey Walker as he must know that the fans don't want him to be the manager full time. I understand the players call him Mickey "dice" Walker as he has some many different faces.

Big name but wants a big stake in controlling the club. Are you happy at this at all?

Lets give Mickey Walker a chance then if he fails (which I dont think will happen) we can worry about a new manager.
