'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Charlie Williams Sadly Dies

Charlie Williams has died at the age of 78.

The former Doncaster Rovers player was famously known more as comedian then a footballer.

Williams became the first black comedian to appear on television and he went on to host Golden Shot game show.

Williams made over 170 appearances for Rovers.

Whilst still a Rovers player, he was approached by the Barnsley manager to sign for them. 'Bugger off, its bad enough being black' replied Charlie

Williams died at Barnsley General hospital on Saturday afternoon.

Rest In Peace 'me old flower'
