And The New Manager...?

There will be a Board meeting today, with the number one topic the choice of a new manager. However, strong rumours suggest that discussions have already taken place and that various managers had been considered before Dave Penney resigned.

John Ryan's favourite seems to be ex-England manager Kevin Keegan though the feeling is a mixed one among the fans as to whether this would be a good appointment. A national newspaper said that in order to secure Keegan's services Ryan would offer the former European Footballer of the Year a 300,000 a year contract and a 15% stake in the club.

In the poll currently running on this site, Mickey Walker does not appear to be the fans choice of new manager. The poll is still open for you to vote and you can have your say in the comments box below.

If Keegan got the job and things go bad it would be hard for Ryan to sack someone with a 15% stake in the club. If those are the terms I don't want him.
