3 On The Short-List

After todays board meeting, Doncaster Rovers have come up with a short-list of three names to replace Dave Penney.

The club have not announced who is on the short-list yet but we understand that current care-taker manager Mickey Walker is one of the names on it.

In the poll currently running on this site, Mickey Walker does not appear to be the fans choice to replace Dave Penney.

Names to be linked to the job include Kevin Keegan, Steve Nicol, Peter Reid, Glynn Snodin and Peter Beardsley.

Other names mentioned, but who are currently at other clubs include Peter Jackson (Huddersfield Town), Paul Sturrock (Sheffield Wednesday) and Roy McFarland (Chesterfield).

Its a case and wait and see who the other two names on the list are.

According to a caller on Radio Sheffield last night he reckons that Sturrock is on the Rovers short-list. Peter Reid or Glynn Snodin would be good.

Sturrock would be a big shock. If appointed I wonder how that would go down in Sheffield.

Peter Jacksons name seems to be flying around at the moment.

I've heard from a number of people the shortlist is: Peter Reid, Peter Jackson, Mickey Walker

Glynn Snodin is very interesting, he did a good job at Charlton and seems to be doing ok with George Burley at Southampton. I definitely don't want Peter Jackson he's doing a good job keeping Huddersfield in league 1!!!
