Rovers Want Huddersfield's Jackson?

It is strongly rumoured that the three names shortlisted for the vacant managers job are:

Mickey Walker

Peter Reid

Peter Jackson

Jackson is currently with Huddersfield Town and rumours started at the weekend that he was interested in the role. However, as he is currently with Town, Rovers would have to fork out compensation for the manager who's list of achievements is hardly greater than Dave Penney's.

Perhaps then former Sunderland boss Peter Reid would be a better choice or should Rovers stick with Walker?

Don't go for Peter Reid on recent form. Jackson's an interesting name, although I thought he was settled at Huddersfield. Is that not the case?

Those three candidates are hardly miles better then Dave Penney. Not convined about Walker, I think he had a lot to do with the sacking of Lewis and thus Penney going.

If that's the best we can come up with then John Ryan's ambitions are not as big as I thought.
