DRFC Portsmouth v Doncaster head-to-head

Vital Doncaster Rovers looks at the head-to-head record between Portsmouth and Doncaster Rovers at Fratton Park over the years.

The meeting on Saturday will be only the eighth meeting between the two on the south coast.

In the previous seven encounters, Portsmouth have won five, Doncaster one and one has been drawn.

Rovers failed to score in any of their first four games at Fratton Park, conceding ten goals in the process.

The two clubs have met in the last two seasons having not met since the 1982/83 season.

Rovers enjoyed their first victory in the 2010/11 season, with a 3-2 win thanks to goals from James Hayter, James Coppinger and David Healy.

When they met last season, Portsmouth won 3-1. Luke Varney gave the hosts an early start before Simon Gillett equalised for Rovers.

Strikes from Dave Kitson and another for Varney ensured the Portsmouth win.
