DRFC Oldham v Doncaster Head to Head

Vital Doncaster looks at the head-to-head record against Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park over the years.

The two sides have met on 17 previous occasions with Oldham winning 5, Doncaster 6 and 6 have been drawn.

The first ever meeting came in a Third Division North clash in the 1937/38 season when Oldham won 2-1.

Doncaster enjoyed their first win at Oldham in the 1946/47 season in their fourth visit to Boundary Park, when they won 1-0.

They have met on two previous occasions in the FA Cup. In the 1946/47 season, Doncaster won a Second Round tie 2-1.

In the 2007/08 season the tie went to a replay after a 2-2 draw at Oldham.

The home side looked to be cruising when they led 2-0 thanks to goals from Neil Trotman and Craig Davies. James Hayter earned Doncaster a replay with goals in the 63rd and 86th minute. Oldham had the last word when they won the replay at the Keepmoat 2-1.

The met again in the league later in the month and James Hayter once again thwarted the home side when his 90th minute penalty earned Doncaster a point in a 1-1 draw after Mark Allott had given the home side a first half lead.
