The New Gaffer's Record

We take a look at Sean O'Driscoll stats. The former Bournemoth manager/player/physio was today officially announced as the man to take over from Dave Penney.

O'Driscoll has been with Bournemouth for 20 years in a number of different roles including player, physio, coach and as a manager.

He was appointed as the Bournemouth manager in 2000. That season the Cherries just missed out on the play-offs.

The following season Bournemouth were relegated. A year later he got them promoted via the play-offs.

Then followed two seasons of just missing out on the play-offs.

Last season the Cherries finished 17th.

It will be interesting to see how SOD works with a demanding chairman such as John Ryan.
sandgroanun
He has 9 home wins in the last 35 home league games for Bournemouth. One relegation & one promotion. Not a brillant record.
PopStandRover
he's been working on a shoestring with a lot of youngsters, he's done well to keep them in this division.

Patience is a virtue. SOD will turn your average northern club into something worth talking about and put Doncaster on the map. Everyone knows where sunny sunny Bournemouth is, but Doncaster???
tis_red
