DRFC Jones misses out on award

Doncaster Rovers defender Rob Jones missed out on the League One Player of the Month for November when the winner was announced today.

Jones was shortlisted alongside Brentford goalkeeper Simon Moore and Leyton Orient striker Kevin Lisbie.

Lisbie took the award after netting five times in five games for Orient during the month.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe won the Manager of the Month in League One.

The League Two Player of the Month went to former Rovers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa who is now playing at Northampton Town.

The experienced striker netted seven times during November for the cobblers, including his first hat trick in the Football League.

Akinfenwa helped Rovers win the Division Three title in his short stay at Belle Vue during the 2003/04 season.

" Indianna Jones " must be the best battling captain in the league, with leadership like this the rest of the team can`t help but give their all.
