DRFC Football League announce dates for 2013/14

The Football League have announced the key dates for the 2013/14 season.

The season will kick off on the first Saturday in August on the 3rd.

The season will kick off one week earlier than normal to allow one extra weekend fixture in the season. This was decided after a ballot was taken between the 72 Football League clubs. The League did start later than normal this season due to the Olympic Games.

The last day of the season will be Saturday May 3rd.

The festive period will once again be busy. There will be four games between Saturday December 21st and New Years Day. There will be the traditional Boxing Day fixture list as well as games on Sunday December 29th.

The play-off finals will take place from Saturday May 24th to Monday May 26th.
