It wasn`t until Rovers eighth visit that they recorded their first win when they won 2-1.

Rovers held Preston to a 2-2 draw in the 1994/95 season. The clash marked the debut of a young David Beckham who was on loan at Preston from Manchester United and he marked the occasion with a goal.

Goals from James O`Connor and James Hayter in the opening twenty minutes secured a 2-0 win for Rovers.
