DRFC Who was your Rovers man of the match?

Doncaster Rovers produced another great performance on the road with a 3-0 win at Preston North End on Saturday.

The side continue their impressive away form and the win saw them equal a club record of eleven away games without defeat, a record that was set in the 1946/47 season.

Rovers have won more away games than anyone else in the top four divisions in English football, with the win at Preston their ninth on the road this season.

The away form has been built on a strong defence. Goalkeeper Gary Woods along with Paul Quinn, Rob Jones, Jamie McCombe and Tommy Spurr again putting in solid performances.

The midfield is chipping in with goals. David Syers made it two in two games and David Cotterill scored his ninth of the season.

Kyle Bennett, Paul Keegan and James Harper all add strength to a midfield that protects it`s defence and works hard.

Billy Paynter worked hard up front at Preston and he scored a deserved goal from the penalty spot.
