DRFC Can Rovers blunt the blades?

Doncaster Rovers welcome Sheffield United to the Keepmoat on New Year`s Day for the clash of the day in League One.

The South Yorkshire neighbours are currently only separated by goal difference with United in second and Rovers in third in the table.

Rovers come into the game on the back of back-to-back away wins over the festive period.

Sheffield United were the bookies friends on Saturday as their 3-2 home defeat by rock bottom Hartlepool United would have seen many fixed odds coupons being screwed up and thrown into the bin.

The blades had been unbeaten in their previous four games and had kept clean sheets in three of them.

Rovers home form as been their Achilles heel this season and they have won just two of their last five at home.

They have won just five of their eleven home games so far this season and have actually conceded one more goal than they have scored.

United have won six of their twelve games on the road this season and along with Rovers have the best defensive record on the road having conceded just eight goals.

They are struggling to find the net and have scored just thirteen goals, with only four sides having scored less away from home in the division.

So what do you think?

Can Rovers make it the perfect festive period with three points against their near neighbours or will Sheffield United make the short trip home with the points.
