DRFC Saunders favourite for Wolves post

DRFC Saunders favourite for Wolves post

Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders as emerged as odds on favourite for the vacant Wolverhampton Wanderers post after they sacked Ståle Solbakken.

Wolves sacked Solbakken after they were dumped out of the FA Cup by non-league Luton Town on Saturday.

Saunders is as short as 2/5 with BETVICTOR for the post whilst Stan James have him at 4/9 and Sky Bet and Ladbrokes have him at 4/7.

Ironically, the man who Saunders replaced at the Keepmoat, Sean O`Driscoll is second favourite for the job.

O`Driscoll was surprisingly sacked by Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day after they had beaten Leeds United 4-2.

The former Rovers boss was born in Wolverhampton and he is a lifelong Wolves supporter.

He is also amongst the favourites for the job at Barnsley after they sacked Keith Hill over the festive period.

It stinks of an illegal approach. Odds on favourite with the club saying no approach made. All of a sudden, an approach is made.
