DRFC Can Rovers break club record?

Doncaster Rovers start life after Dean Saunders with a trip to Stevenage on Saturday.

Saunders left Rovers this week to take over the reins at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He has left the club in an excellent position in League One. The win over Colchester United at the Keepmoat last Saturday moved them level on points with Tranmere Rovers at the top of the table.

Experienced player and manager Brian Flynn is in temporary charge along with club captain Rob Jones and they travel to Stevenage with the opportunity to write the club into the record books if they can avoid defeat.

Rovers haven`t been beaten on their travels since September 1st at Yeovil Town, their only away defeat of the season. Avoiding defeat on Saturday would see them break a club record eleven away games without defeat, a record that has been equalled on three other occasions in 1946/47, 1968/69 and 2007/08.

Stevenage have seen their promotion challenge dwindle in recent months and they have won just two of their last nine games.

They did win last weekend when they won 2-1 at Crewe.

So what do you think?

Can Brian Flynn and Rob Jones help Rovers break a long-standing club record by avoiding defeat?

You can vote on how you think Rovers will do at the bottom right hand side of this page.
