DRFC Jones to lead by example?

Doncaster Rovers start life after Dean Saunders this afternoon with a chance to write themselves into the clubs record books at Stevenage.

Experienced manager Brian Flynn and defender Rob Jones are in temporary charge for the game, in which Rovers need to avoid defeat to set a club record twelve away games without defeat.

Rovers come into the game having picked up nine points from the last twelve to move level on points with Tranmere Rovers at the top of the table.

Bookmakers Paddypower make Rovers 6/4 favourites to claim the three points.

Stevenage have seen their push for promotion slip in recent months having won just two of their last nine games.

They did win at Crewe Alexandra last week and are just two points off the play-off places. Paddypower have them at 17/10 to claim the three points.

The two sides have drawn six of their previous eleven encounters, including a 1-1 draw at the Keepmoat earlier in the season and it is 11/5 on the draw.

Lucas Akins is the leading goalscorer for Stevenage this season with nine goals and he is 11/2 to open the scoring.

Robin Shroot has netted seven times and he is 6/1 to score first.

David Cotterill scored his tenth of the season for Rovers last weekend in the win over Colchester United and he is 9/1 to score first.

Rob Jones will be looking to lead by example this afternoon. The defender has netted five times already this season and he is 16/1 to open the scoring.
