DRFC Lomas new favourite for Rovers job

Steve Lomas is the new favourite for the vacant Doncaster Rovers managers` job.

Lomas is currently manager of Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone and he has been linked with a move to the Keepmoat since Dean Saunders left last weekend.

The former Manchester City and West Ham midfielder is even money with Stan James for the job.

Coventry City boss Mark Robins was the early favourite and he was 1/5 on with bookmakers in midweek. He has now drifted out to 3/1 with Stan James.

Former Rovers favourite Glynn Snodin has seen his odds slashed this week. Snodin is currently on the coaching staff at Huddersfield Town and he is now 5/1 for the post.

Current caretaker boss Brian Flynn is 20/1 along with another former midfielder Neil Redfearn.

Rovers usally surprise everyone with their appointments and it is usually someone who hasn't been mentioned for the post. A few wins for Brian Flynn and he will firmly be in the running. He did a decent job at Wrexham and he is vastly experienced.

A win today, no big player losses and Rob as right hand man may persuade the powers, that if it ain`t broke lets not break it !

Glynn Snodin is now the favourite. I wouldn't be surprised to see Flynn get it. Rovers have indicated that Flynn and Jones will still be in charge for the game with Orient on Saturday so they are in no rush. A good win on Saturday and the job will be his.
