Should He Stay Or Should He Go?

Should He Stay Or Should He Go?

Jonathan Forte, left winger or centre forward?

Brilliant player, or lazy timewaster? Opions on our loan signing from the Blades are mixed.

Forte is in his third spell at Belle Vue, and has yet to show the form that impressed the Rovers fans the first time around.

Forte doesn't seem to know where he wants to play. Just before joining us on loan for his first spell, Forte stated on BBC Radio Sheffield that he was a left winger and did not like playing upfront. However, since then he has changed his mind and on the same station recently said he did not like playing on the wing and wanted to be a striker! This perhaps is his problem. He doesn't know what to do, where to be and, as such, is ineffective.

What has brought him this far, however, is his natural ability to beat a player with trickery and skill. How much further can this take him though? Based on recent performances, including the sub appearance against Huddersfield he seems disinterested and unwilling to chase balls down and work hard.

Disagree? Think he's the answer to our left winger shortage? Comment on the forum or in the box below.

i think forte is an amazing player but i think that he should know start geting to start the game rather then coming on as sub.he is a supurb runner, great player, got skill, ambitous.all we need is some goals from him like last season we hope anyway he can start on sat i hope against the other team he played for last season and i see he done very good for them as well.

Its down to the lad. He has to work hard and show the right attitude, for me he is currently not doing that. We need a team with players that will play for Doncaster Rovers and not for themselves. All big time charlies should be shown the door.

I would sooner see him playing up front, he always seem's to do the wrong thing when he's out on the wing and he seem's to just get his head down. He looked a lot better player when up front a scored goals for both us and Rotherham in that position last season.

Does he want to be at Doncaster or does he wish that he was back at the Blades? Perhaps he is a little disillusioned with football at the moment. The team he singed for are in the prmiership and he is playing League One.
