DRFC Jones ready for League One dogfight

Doncaster Rovers captain and first team coach Rob Jones says the club are ready for a dogfight in the final three months of the season.

Rovers travel to struggling Bury on Saturday. The League One strugglers have gone twelve games without a win and are currently in the relegation zone.

On the other hand, Rovers are hoping to extend their unbeaten away run to fourteen games and keep up the pace at the top of the division having taken sixteen points from a possible eighteen in their last six games, but Jones is taking nothing for granted.

Speaking on the Doncaster Rovers official website , Jones said, "We`re getting to the business end of the season now, where we are all fighting for something so I think from now on in they are all going to be real dogfights.

"We are in a division where anybody can beat anybody regardless of what position you`re in the table.

"We go into the game confident, we are where we are because we`ve had a good season so far but we`ve got 18 games to go. After Christmas they all just disappear so it`s a cause for us to be focused on the last 18 games, the last 3 months as it might be and try and get what we need out of them."

Jones is enjoying a superb first season at the Keepmoat since signing from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer.

The 33-year old has led by example at the heart of the Rovers defence this season, who have conceded just twenty-five goals this season, with just nine of those on the road.

The giant central defender as also chipped in at the other end with seven goals this season including goals in each of Rovers last two games.
