Penney Speaks Out

Penney Speaks Out

Speaking to Chris Kamara in today's Sun Dave Penney spoke highly of his time at Rovers.

'Nothing has ever been achieved by saying derogratory things - I'd just like to remember the good times'

'Getting out of the Conference was a slog but brillant when we managed it. And promotion to League One in our first year back in the Football League is a memory I will always cherish. Then there was the cup run last season, which got everyone talking about Doncaster Rovers.'

'The club means so much to me. I was sad to leave... I though't we'd finish higher than last season - I was 100% confident we would improve on that this time'

it was reported that he has applied for Bournemouth job, if he was successful , it would be an intersting battle between the two Managers.
