Blayney And Steve Roberts Out

Goalkeeper Alan Blayney looks set to miss the local derby against Rotherham this Saturday. Blayney was substituted at half time at Huddersfield due to injury. Prior to the game he had fallen in the bath at home and cut his arm. Although stitched, the wound opened up during the game. Jan Budtz replaced Blayney and impressed. He is likely to continue between the sticks.

Also missing will be centre half Steve Roberts with a calf problem. Roberts was also injured during the game against Huddersfield. His place is likely to be taken by Adam Lockwood. Roberts may be missing for a few weeks.

I thought Budtz played very well on Tuesday night. We are only left with Smith as cover now. We are short at cover for centre back, depending on how long Robets is out for, we might need to get someone in on loan - Wheater?

i dont see how we keep getting all these injurys and i heard that dyer was suppose to be back for the game the other night and he wasnt even there whats going on?also sean thornton went and people have said that he sat on the bus the whole game he wont be making a good impression now will he i like sean i think he is a great player that deserve chances but he is doing it the wrong way if he sulks thats just going to make the manager not want to play him.

We have not been fortunate with injuries since getting promoted, that is why we shouldn't of let players like Ravenhill, fenton and ryan leave they would of been good squad depth players.

Jan is a good replacement and if he plays to his best Blaney may have a problem getting back in the goal. Steve amy be fit awaiting on fitness test Saturday.
