DRFC Flynn expecting tough clash

Doncaster Rovers boss Brian Flynn is predicting a tough clash when they come up against Crawley Town on Monday night.

Doncaster will make their first trip to Broadfield Road on Monday night in front of the live Sky TV cameras hoping to get their League One promotion push back on track.

Crawley have enjoyed the same meteoric rise to that of Rovers earlier this century. The Sussex club have enjoyed successive promotions in the past two seasons, winning promotion from the Conference and League Two in successive seasons.

The Red Devils had been enjoying a successful first season in League One but they have slipped of the promotion pack recently, winning just one of their last five League One games.

Despite their dip in form, Flynn is predicting a tough encounter.

Speaking on the Doncaster Rovers official website
, Flynn said, "Generally their home form has been good.

"We have had them watched three times in the last month and they will be difficult opponents. They`ve got a good system and they play to that system well.

"Our away form has been very good, we need to count Bury as a one off and get back to winning games away from home."

Rovers have picked up just one point from a possible nine in their last three games and they have also lost their long unbeaten away record in the process. Their defeat at Bury recently was only their second away defeat of the season and their first in thirteen games, since losing at Yeovil Town on September 1st.

The midweek draw with MK Dons kept Rovers in the automatic promotion places but the teams in the pack behind have closed the gap on the top in recent weeks. With Rovers not in action until Monday night, they could find themselves as low as sixth in the table if results go against them over the weekend.
