DRFC Rovers duo in Team of the Week

Doncaster Rovers duo Rob Jones and Iain Hume have been included in the League One Football League Team of the Week.

The duo have been included for their performances in the 3-2 win at Scunthorpe United at the weekend to help keep up Rovers pursuit of an instant return to the championship, as they moved five points clear at the top with the win.

Jones claimed an assist on Rovers second goal as his long ball forward found Hume, who fired home after getting in behind the Scunthorpe defence.

It is the sixth time this season that Jones has been included and he now leads the way for Rovers with midfielder David Cotterill being included five times.

Hume becomes the ninth Rovers player to be included in the Team of the Week this season.

The Team of the Week is chosen by the Press Association for the top eleven performing players for their positions in the games over the weekend.
