Donny Dog Gets Running

Donny Dog Gets Running

The annual Mascot Grand National at Huntingdon Racecourse takes place on Sunday and, once again, Rovers will be represented by Donny Dog.

Although at a distinct disadvantage to other mascots (due to his giant shoes) Donny Dog will be doing his best to get a creditable finish. The mascots will have to complete the 220 yards course, including hurdles.

Donny Dog is at 33/1 to win the race, although certainly not an outsider with many other mascots rated at 50/1 or above!

Other mascots taking part in the race are Chaddy The Owl (previous winner representing Oldham) and H'Angus the Monkey, the famous mascot of Hartlepool.

Come on Donny Dog!

Make sure your owner does not take you out for a walk the night before the race.

Fair play he does well for the Rovers. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks?
