DRFC Flynn - We will be ready for Brentford

Doncaster Rovers boss Brian Flynn says his side will be ready for the crucial clash at Brentford on Saturday.

Flynn will have to lift his players after they missed the chance to secure automatic promotion on Saturday, as they suffered a surprise 1-0 home defeat to Notts County.

The defeat saw Rovers knocked off the top spot for the first time since February with Bournemouth beating Carlisle United.

Brentford could have moved level with Rovers had they won at Hartlepool but they could only draw, setting them up for a nail-biting clash at Griffin Park on Saturday and Flynn says his side will be ready for the game. "We will start again on Monday morning and we will be ready for Brentford," Flynn told Radio Sheffield.

"Our away form has been blistering and we will go down there with confidence.

'When I took over, if someone had offered me the position of winning our last game to go up I'd have taken it without doubt.'

Rovers will go into the game knowing a point will be enough to guarantee automatic promotion and it will see the team with the best home form in the division come up against the side with the best away record.

Brentford have won 14 games at home this season, whilst Rovers have the best away record in the Football League with 14 away wins.

The bees have won their last five at home and they have lost just twice at home all season.

Rovers have lost just four games on the road this season and they broke a club record earlier in the season when they went twelve games unbeaten.

The game looks set for a sell-out with Rovers already selling out their allocation and Brentford having just a handful of tickets remaining on Friday.
