DRFC Are you disappointed with the released list?

Doncaster Rovers have announced their released list from those players out of contract this summer.

Rovers had fourteen players out of contract this summer and decided that they would only pursue an interest in retaining nine of those.

Gary Woods and Martin Woods, two players with regular first team experience were amongst the five released.

Lee Fowler was not a surprise name on the list of those released. Fowler signed for former boss Dean Saunders in January but he failed to become a regular in the side following the departure of Saunders and he spent the final few months of the season out on loan.

Youngsters Jordan Ball and Paddy Mullen were possibly surprise names on the list. Both look to have promising futures in the professional game give the opportunity. Ball was the only one of the two to make a senior appearance for the team during the season. He scored within seconds of coming off the bench on his debut to make an instant impression.

So are you disappointed to see anyone released?

Thought Jordan Ball was going to be another youth player to come through the system and earn a place in the first team as James husband did. We have got to breed and promote our young players to provide us with a strong, loyal and stable squad for the future !
