Four teams off the list of first day opponents

Doncaster Rovers already know they will not face Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers, Burnley or Derby County on the opening day of the championship season.

With the fixtures for the 2013/14 season released on Wednesday morning the Football League have announced six games across the three divisions to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the first Football League season.

Bolton will travel to Burnley on the opening day and Derby will host Blackburn Rovers in the championship. All four clubs played in the first league season back in 1988/89.

In League One, founder members Preston North End will host Wolverhampton Wanderers whilst the world oldest professional club Notts County will travel to the world`s oldest professional football ground Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United.

In League Two, the newest club to the Football League Newport County will host Accrington Stanley whilst Rochdale will travel to Hartlepool United. Dale and Hartlepool have met on 136 previous occasions, more than any other teams in the Football League.

Rovers will find out their full fixture list for the 2013/14 season when they are released on Wednesday morning at 9am.
