Its hard to say which team would be the happiest after another entertaining night at Belle Vue.
The Bantams wasted no time in going ahead when Dean Windass scored after just 40 seconds. They soon doubled the lead and again, it was Windass who netted. Jermaine Johnson, who would cause the Rovers problems all night again, seemed to have acres of space and much of Bradfords early efforts were as a result of his good play. However the Bantams missed chance after chance and when Green managed to score the first league goal of the Sean O'Driscoll era just before the break Rovers seemed to up the tempo.
The former Rovers junior grabbed his second in the second half, as Rovers really took the game to Bradford, sensing City were panicking. The Bantams 'keeper lost his cool and made two massive errors which allowed Rovers to take the lead. Rovers were now camped inside the Bradford half and excellent saves, poor finishing and the linesman flag prevented Rovers from increasing the lead.
Lewis Guy found his name in the ref's notebook yet again for diving and the ref was soon flourishing cards as the game got tasty. It was obvious a red one was going to appear and unfortunately it was shown to Graeme Lee. Call it professionalism or cheating but Dean Windass used his years of experience to make sure that the Rovers captain saw red.
From the resulting free-kick, Budtz showed his lack of flexibility and the ball went in.
With the score three-all it was still anyone's game. Forte went close but then so did the Bradford strikers, as Budtz fumbled a shot.
Rovers travel to Scunny on Saturday. Rovers need to start picking up wins if they want Destination Championship to be a reality.
