Dickov looking to bring in two or three this week
Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov says he is hoping to bring in two or three new players before the season starts on Saturday.
Dickov added former Manchester United youngster Luke McCullough to his small squad last week and out of contract defender Paul Quinn, who signed a new two-year deal.
The new Rovers boss says he wants to bring in a few more players this week and he is still looking at bringing in quality players.
"We`ll be looking to bring a few players in this week," Dickov told the Sheffield Star.
"But we`ve also got some good young kids and we`ve got a good 14 of 15 strong senior players.
"The one thing we`ve got to look out for is injuries and suspensions; we need to make sure we`re not left short.
""I`ve got lots of names and targets and I`m working incredibly hard to get quality players into this club."
Former midfielder Richie Wellens, who was released by Leicester City last week, has been training with Rovers and he played in the friendly at Bradford City on Saturday.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Bongani Khumalo also played for Rovers at Bradford City and the club could be looking to take the South African international on loan.
Goalkeeper Shay Given and former striker Billy Sharp have also been linked with a move to Doncaster and Dickov admitted last week that he had made contact with their respective clubs about a move to the Keepmoat.
