DRFC Trialist goalkeeper to return
Trialist goalkeeper Marian Kello could return to Doncaster Rovers after coming to the end of his short trial with the club.
The 30-year-old Slovakian international played the 90-minutes for Rovers in their pre-season game with Motherwell earlier this month. Kello kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw and he also travelled with the squad on their five-day trip to Portugal.
Kello has now returned to Slovakia but Dickov says he is looking to bring the former Heart of Midlothian goalkeeper back to the Keepmoat.
"Marian came out to Portugal with us and did very well," Dickov told the Sheffield Star.
"He`s gone home but he`s one we`re looking to bring back at some point."
Rovers currently have no experienced goalkeeper at the club after Neil Sullivan and Gary Woods left the club this summer.
19-year-old Jonathan Maxted, who is yet to make a senior appearance for Rovers, started the final game of pre-season at Bradford City on Saturday.
Dickov has talked to Aston Villa about the possibility of bringing the vastly experienced Shay Given to the Keepmoat on a season long loan from Aston Villa.
Given, who has made 125 appearances for Republic of Ireland, is currently down the pecking order at Villa Park. Reports yesterday suggest that the 37-year-old, who is not training with the Villa first team, is not keen on a move to the championship.
Dickov will be desperate to bring in a goalkeeper this week with the season kicking off on Saturday.
