Dickov looking for a reaction from his players

Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov says he is looking for a reaction from his players when they make the trip to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Rovers suffered a disappointing home defeat to Bournemouth before the international break, with the Rovers boss critical of the player`s performance.

Dickov felt that some of the players were playing as if they felt they had the security of their place in the side after a decent start to the season.

With the players having two weeks to prepare for the Huddersfield game due to the international break, Dickov wants to see a reaction from the players and put in a performance for the fans who are making the short trip to West Yorkshire.

Speaking on the official website , Dickov said, "The one thing I want to see is a reaction to that game!

"We know Saturday will be a big game and a big crowd and our fans have been fantastic at Wigan and Charlton - they really do spur the lads on the pitch but it`s a double-edged sword in that we have to make sure we put the performance in.

"We can`t rely on the fans to win us games, we have to start games at the intensity we want to play and make sure we do everything right."

Rovers had the best away record in the Football League last season and their form on their travels so far this season as seen them carry that on into the championship.

They were only denied a win at Wigan Athletic in their first away game of the season after conceding an equaliser in the dying moments and in their second away game of the season, they were left frustrated at Charlton Athletic when the game was abandoned at half time with them 3-1 ahead.
