Going Down?

Going Down?

Rovers really have to start winning games and soon. Blackpool`s victory over Brighton on Sunday saw them move above Rovers, pushing Doncaster into the bottom four. Its worrying. Very worrying. After yet another draw on Friday against Oldham, Donny fans are looking nervously at the fixture list for the next month. A 6 pointer against Cheltenham next week, another local derby against Chesterfield, a trip to high flying Bristol City and a tricky home game against Leyton Orient, not exactly easy pickings. Then its Millwall and Brighton, talk about relegation dog fight!

Having said that, all games are there for the taking. Sean O`Driscoll must change his formation to play 4-4-2 with width and play to our strengths, with the players we have, not try and force the team to play a system we don`t have the players to play. The only highlights from Friday nights game when the players drifted into old habits and played 4-4-2, getting the ball out wide.

It was always going to be hard to replace the most successful manager in Roves history but to go from that to this in one quick move is disastrous. Unless John Ryan moves quickly to make amends for this poor appointment all his good work will be undone and he will be remembered as the Chairman who made the biggest stuff up in Rovers history, rather than the saviour he wants to be known as.

There`s no excuse, no moaning that they aren`t SOD`s players, or they won`t play as he directs. We`ve nosed dived since Penney left in terms of quality of play. What`s changed? Its not difficult to see.

Oldham was a must win game. We drew. Cheltenham is a must win game. A seriously must win game.

we need to forget any hope's we have of promotion until we start winning games. We know what the problem is we haven't got anybody scoring goals, we have one of the best defence's in the division so we need to bring a goalscorer in on loan and quickly. Next saturdays game for me is a must win or we could find ourselves bottom by the end of the month.

Very different form to what you had last season. It will be tough to sort it out without a winning mentality.

Will come good as soon as we start scoring. Dont forget we still have a premiership player coming in on loan sometime next week letrs hope it is a goal scorer.

I think we have no chance of being relegated, you have to look at the squad and see that we are too good not to just get our striking form back and climb the table. It's only our ability to score that is letting us down at the moment

don't get excited about a premiership player, you will probably find he is an 18/19 year old that has not made the first team and needs experiance, thats how SOD works, and give him a break he has only been their 5 mins and your panicking
