DRFC Brighton View: Jones - Scoreline flattered us
Brighton and Hove Albion assistant boss Nathan Jones felt the scoreline flattered his side after two late strikes saw on Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat.
Brighton won 3-1 at the Keepmoat to record their first away win since August.
Brighton won thanks to two goals in the final six minutes after Rovers looked like to be the more likely winners after equalising with just fifteen minutes remaining and Jones admitted they were under pressure before going ahead late on.
'The final score probably flattered us a little bit because Doncaster put us under a lot of pressure in the second half.
'I thought we showed a lot of resilience under pressure and determination to win the game.'
Brighton went ahead through Jake Forster-Caskey on eight minutes. Caskey ended Brighton`s long goal drought on their travels with a strike from 35-yards. His goal was their first on the road in 377 minutes for the seagulls.
Rovers took the game to Brighton in the second half and deservedly equalised through Chris Brown with just fifteen minutes remaining.
With Rovers looking for a winner, Ashley Barnes gave them a warning when his shot hit the post and moments later, Leroy Lita made no mistake from close range to give them the lead for a second time.
David Lopez fired home a free-kick in the last minute to send the travelling fans home happy.
