DRFC Birmingham v Doncaster - Over The Years

Vital Doncaster looks at the head-to-head record between Birmingham City and Doncaster Rovers at St Andrews over the years.

Rovers have been on the wrong end of some hammerings from their hosts on Saturday, including a record defeat against the then Small Heath 12-0 in 1903.

Rovers overall record at St Andrews reads, played 11, Lost 8, won 2 and drawn 1. They have conceded 31 goals and scored just 8.

When the two sides met at St Andrews in 2008 Doncaster were left wondering how they came away from the game with nothing.

Birmingham were reduced to ten men after just 24 minutes when Nafti was shown a straight red card for a two footed tackle on James Coppinger.

Despite Rovers dominating the game, Birmingham clinched all three points when Cameron Jerome netted the only goal of the game in the opening seconds of the second half.

The last meeting between the two in December 2011, saw Rovers again wondering how they came away empty-handed.

Marc Antoine Fortune gave Rovers the lead early in the second half but Marlon King scored twice for Birmingham, the winner coming with just two minutes remaining, to clinch the points for the blues.

I don't know how Rovers lost on their last two visits. Probably play rubbish on Tuesday and win.
