DRFC Doncaster Rovers v Leeds head-to-head

Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United meet at the Keepmoat on Saturday and we look back at the meetings at Doncaster over the years.

This will be the thirteenth meeting at Doncaster with the home side winning two, Leeds six and there has been four draws.

It is the sixth meeting at the Keepmoat and Rovers are still looking for their first win, having lost 1-0 during the 2007/08 season and in 2010/11 it finished 0-0.

The met twice in the 2011/12 season. Leeds won a League Cup clash despite James Hayter giving Rovers an early lead but two Ramon Nunez goals won the tie for Leeds. A month later, Leeds returned for a Championship fixture and won 3-0.

They met again in the League Cup earlier this season. Scott Wootton and Matt Smith scored for Leeds before substitute Billy Paynter gave Rovers hope but that was ended when Ross McCormack fired home a third for the visitors.

The first ever meeting came during the 1947/48 season when Doncaster won a Second Division clash 3-0.

The next time the two met the shared eight goals in a 4-4 draw during the 1950/51 season.

Rovers won the next encounter the following season 2-0, their last success at home against Leeds.

Leeds had to wait until their sixth visit to Belle Vue before enjoying their first win, when they won 1-0 during the 1954/55 season.
