DRFC Dickov looking for home comforts

Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov is looking to pick up points in their two home games over the festive period.

Rovers welcome Ipswich Town today before Millwall visit on Sunday and Dickov is looking to put some distance between them and the teams below them in the championship.

Speaking in the Sheffield Star , Dickov said, "We`ve got two homes and they`re two games we think we can pick points up from.

"Over the last couple of games our home form has been reasonably good and we want to build on that.

"If we`re going to give ourselves a chance, it`s the home games you have to win."

Rovers come into the game having lost their last three games to slip to within three points of the relegation. Apart from their last home game against Leeds United, when a 3-0 scoreline flattered the visitors, Rovers have been playing well at home.

Maximum points had been taken from their two games at home prior to Leeds, including defeating promotion favourites Queens Park Rangers as well as beating fellow promotion chasers Leicester City at the Keepmoat earlier this season.

Ipswich arrive at the Keepmoat in good form, are unbeaten in five games, and are currently on the fringes of the play-off places.

The game with Millwall on Sunday is crucial, with the London side just one point and one place above Rovers in the table.

Need to be picking up a minimum of four points from these two home games. Beat Ipswich and we should beat Millwall.
