DRFC Robinson out for up to eight weeks

Doncaster Rovers have been dealt a huge blow with the news that striker Theo Robinson will be out for around two months.

The striker picked up a knee injury in the defeat at Queens Park Rangers, in a game in which he scored, and he now needs an operation.

Speaking on BBC Radio Sheffield, Dickov said, "Theo Robinson is out for six to eight weeks. He needs an operation on his knee."

The news is a huge blow for Dickov who is struggling to pick a fit striker for the league game with Blackburn Rovers next weekend.

Both Chris Brown and Billy Paynter, who featured in the FA Cup on Saturday, are still struggling with injuries and on loan Manchester United striker Federico Macheda returned to his parent club last week.

Youngster Alex Peterson, who made his senior debut against Millwall over Christmas, is the only fully fit striker currently available to Dickov.
