DRFC Dickov hoping to keep Villa defender

Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov says he is hoping to extend the loan deal of defender Enda Stevens from Aston Villa until the end of the season.

Stevens is in his second month on loan at the Keepmoat after extending his loan at the turn of the year.

The 23-year-old defender has made nine appearances since his arrival and Dickov is hoping he can sort out a deal to keep the Republic of Ireland under-21 international.

Speaking on BBC Radio Sheffield, Dickov said, "We would like to keep Enda until the end of the season.

"He has done well since he has come in, he has been a big help and we feel he will get better."

Stevens is on loan at the Keepmoat until February 1st

Not an area of importance at the moment with Husband back and a few defenders returning to fitness as well as new signings.
