DRFC Season over for Rob Jones
Doncaster Rovers captain Rob Jones season is over after it has been revealed that he needs surgery on the neck injury that has kept him out since November.
Rovers physio Alex Dalton gave an update on the official website and he said, he will not return this season after injections he recently had in a bid to rectify the original injury had not had the desired effect.
Jones originally suffered the neck injury during the warm-up before the game with Brighton and Hove Albion on November 2nd and it was revealed that he had two bulging discs at the base of his neck.
The influential captain returned to training in January but he was frustrated with his attempts to come back into the reckoning, as reserve team games were postponed due to the heavy rain that was causing havoc with pitches before he suffered a setback at the start of this month.
Jones is expected to have surgery next week.
