DRFC Khumalo injury blow for Rovers

Doncaster Rovers have been dealt a blow in their fight against relegation with the news that Bongani Khumalo will be out for the remainder of the season.

The on loan Tottenham Hotspur defender suffered a ruptured patella tendon in his knee representing South Africa in their friendly with Brazil on Wednesday night.

Khumalo was set to undergo surgery in Africa today before returning to parent club Tottenham Hotspur to start his long road back to full fitness.

The 27-year-old has been a key part of the Rovers defence since joining on a season long loan in the summer and he had been an almost ever-present in the side, making 32 appearances.
