Premier League official to take charge on Saturday

Premier League referee Mike Dean will take charge of the South Yorkshire derby between Doncaster Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The North West official has taken charge of 29 games this season showing 108 yellow cards and 6 reds.

You have to go back all the way to 2007 for his last game in charge of Doncaster Rovers. Rovers fans will remember the game at Hartlepool United as they lost 2-1. Hartlepool had Robbie Elliott sent off with fifteen minutes remaining but he then awarded them a penalty inside the final ten minutes to clinch the win.

You have to go back to 2010 for his last game in charge of Sheffield Wednesday. On that occasion, they drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace at Hillsborough on the final day of the season.

Referee: MICHAEL DEAN (Wirral)
Assistants: Andy Hendley and Robert Merchant
Fourth Official: Stephen Martin
