DRFC Dickov immensely proud of players

Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov said he was immensely proud of the players after they battled to a 0-0 draw at Millwall despite playing the whole of the second half with just ten-men.

Rovers managed to keep Millwall at bay in the second half despite an onslaught from the home side following the sending off of defender Abdoulaye Meite just before the break.

Young goalkeeper Sam Johnstone was once again in fantastic form for Rovers with a number of outstanding saves whilst defenders Paul Quinn and Gabriel Tamas made last-ditch blocks on more than one occasion as Rovers kept their goal intact.

Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Dickov said, 'I'm immensely proud of the players, especially the second-half performance.

'You talk about players putting bodies on the line for the club and for the fans and their team-mates and I had that in abundance in the second half."

The point for Rovers sees them remain one point above the relegation places with just two games remaining.
