Dickov to keep up to date with what is happening

Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov says he wants to be kept up to date with what is happening elsewhere on Saturday as they looked to preserve their future in the championship on the final day of the season.

Rovers are one of four clubs in the championship who could fill the final relegation place on the final day of the season as they travel to champions Leicester City.

Birmingham are currently in the final relegation place and they face a tricky trip to inform Bolton whilst Millwall and Blackpool, who are currently above Rovers, could still go down.

Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Dickov said, "We have to be clever about how we go about it.

"We have worked on a number of different scenarios this week of what can happen in the game and the one thing we must prepare for is what Leicester will throw at us.

"I will make sure I am kept up to date with what is happening at Bolton because it could affect the outcome of the game. We might have to change things dependent on what is happening elsewhere."

Rovers know if they match the result of Birmingham, they will be safe and there are a number of different scenarios that could change things in the table on the final day.

If Birmingham lose they are definitely down. A point for Birmingham and a Rovers defeat would see Rovers relegated.

A Birmingham win would mean Rovers would need at least a draw to stand any chance of staying up but they would then need Millwall to lose at home to Bournemouth.

Blackpool would go down if Rovers, Birmingham and Millwall all win, there are sure to be many twists, and turns on a crucial final day as the four clubs battle for their survival.
