Tomlinson looking to be part of something great

New Doncaster Rovers owner Louis Tomlinson says he is excited and he wants to see the club succeed after he and John Ryan completed their takeover of the club this week.

The One Direction singer has joined up with former Rovers chairman Ryan in acquiring the club and the pair are now aiming to return the club to the championship following their relegation at the end of last season.

The Doncaster born 22-year-old, who used to work in the food kiosks for Rovers before finding global success with One Direction, wants to be part of something great in the town.

Speaking on the official website , Tomlinson said, "Although I`m young, I am very ambitious and I really want this club to succeed.

"All that`s in it for me is to be a part of something great and I think we can really do that here at Doncaster Rovers.

"Doncaster is a footballing town and it would be great to continue that feeling throughout the town.

"This is a massive step for me. I want to keep my feet on the ground but I`m really excited and just want the club to succeed."
