DRFC Rovers keen on former Man City striker

Doncaster Rovers are amongst a number of clubs interested in signing striker Ishmael Miller according to reports.

Miller is a free agent after being released by championship club Nottingham Forest at the end of last season and Rovers face stiff competition with Blackpool, Bournemouth, Watford, Millwall and Rotherham also reportedly keen on signing the 27-year-old who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Yeovil Town last season.

The striker started his career at Manchester City and he played alongside current Rovers boss Paul Dickov during his time there.

Miller left Manchester City to join West Brom and after enjoying a loan spell with the midlands club, he made the move permanent.

After three seasons at the Hawthorns, the 6`3" striker joined Nottingham Forest but he struggled to gain a regular place in the side in his three years at the City Ground, scoring four goals in thirty appearances.

He joined Yeovil on loan last November and he scored ten goals in twenty appearances in two separate spells with the club before being released by Forest.

Never been a big fan but I think he would be a good signing in League One
