'If It's Football, It's Vital'

EX-Skipper Joins The Owls

Brian Laws is the new Sheffield Wednesday manager and he has taken Russ Wilcox's with him to Hillsborough.

Wilcox's was Brain Laws number two at Glanford Park.

Wilcox had two spells at Belle Vue. He only made one appearance in his first spell before leaving for Cambridge United.

Wilcox went on to play and captain the England Semi-Professional team before joining Northampton Town. He made 137 for the Cobblers and managed to score nine goals for them. He left Northampton and went to Hull City. Rovers paid the Tigers 60k for Wilcox services. He made 81 appearances for Rovers and scored six times.

Wilcox left Rovers for Preston before joining Scunthorpe United.
