'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DRFC Former boss the new England under-19 coach

Former Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll is the new manager of the England under-19`s.

The 57-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Bristol City last year.

O`Driscoll started his managerial career with AFC Bournemouth in 2000 before taking over at Rovers in 2006. During five-years at the Keepmoat, he led the side to the championship for the first time in fifty years as well as leading the club to its first domestic trophy when it lifted the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy.

Rovers sacked him in 2011 after maintaining the clubs place in the second tier of English football, earning the side the nickname, 'The Arsenal of the north.`

Following his departure at the Keepmoat, he had brief spells with Crawley Town, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City.

O`Driscoll will take charge of England after their friendly in Germany in Monday as they prepare for their European Championship qualifying campaign.
