'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Gowling Today

Sean O'Driscoll failed in a last minute attempt to sign Josh Gowling from Bournemouth yesterday.

Bournemouth manager, Kevin Bond told the Daily Echo: 'I just don't buy it when people think as soon as somebody else comes in, they want to go. I'll let them go when I want to, not when they want to.

'They will go when I want them to go and when Josh Gowling is right, he can contribute to this football club.

'Somebody wanted to take him and he thought he wanted to go and play elsewhere but I want him to play here.'

O'Driscoll signed Gowling for Bournemouth in the summer of 2005. The defender is under contract until June 2008.

Gowling's last appearance for the Cherries was against Millwall in the JPT.

We are short of defensive cover. Lockwood is one booking away from a ban. Lee and S. Roberts seem to carrying little knocks.
