Gowling Speaks

Speaking to the Bournemouth Daily Echo, Rovers transfer target Josh Gowling had this to say:

'I don't want to leave the club, I love it in Bournemouth. They showed great faith in me when I was injured.'

'I want to emphasise that my loan request was not made because of players coming in. I am loyal to Bournemouth and although it could easily have been misinterpreted that I wanted to leave, that simply isn't the case.

'...It was a good opportunity to go out and get myself a bit more match fit and then come back and do my best for the club. I was disappointed but I'm not just going to lay down and die. I'm going to train hard every day and get as fit as I can but I just need games.

'I know that if I do everything properly then I'll play but it's just a case of getting myself fit.'

Rovers had a request to sign Gowling on loan last week rejected.
